Matwell Trim
Create a custom-made matwell for inside your home with a metal matwell trim. Whilst loose mats are useful and can keep out the dirt, they can be annoyingly mobile, especially if you have a slippery floor or a playful dog which likes to play with them. Walking through the front door to find your front door mat is out of reach can be frustrating. However, mats fixed in position by either a mat frame or set into a recess are an ideal solution.
Matwell frames
To fix a mat in position, install a mat frame. Choose from a selection of angled profiles and matwell trims and make up a frame for any sized mat. These can either lie flush to the floor with a recess to hold the mat or fix on top of your existing flooring, holding the mat in position. Choose the option which best suits your project.
Matwell trim finishes
Our Premier range of trims and profiles are manufactured in solid brass, in a choice of ten different finishes: polished, antique or satin brass, chrome or brushed chrome, satin or polished nickel, black and pewter. You can therefore choose a finish to tone in with your mat or flooring; alternatively, match your matwell trim to other metal fittings in the room such as door handles, light fittings and door thresholds.
Measure up and order online
To create a custom-sized matwell, measure up the outer edges of your mat and add them together. This gives you the length of matwell trims you require. We provide most products in four different lengths - simply choose the most relevant, avoiding joins if possible other than at mitred corners. All profiles can be cut with a sharp hack-saw.
