Stair rod brackets for runners and fitted carpets

Stair rod brackets hold a rod in place across a stair runner or fitted stair carpet. They clamp it in position and hold it securely and are attached to the staircase with screws. Typically, stair rods are purchased with matching rod holders but they are also available her sold separately from the rods, in pairs. The design and specification will depend on whether you have chosen stair rods for a runner or for fitted carpet. Runner brackets are normally hinged and sit on either side of the carpet runner. Front Fix ones are suitable for a stair rod which sits in the centre of a fitted stair runner and has finial (decorative ends). Meanwhile, Side Fix holders are suitable for fitted stair carpets and are attached to the side of the staircase (stringboard) - in this instance you have only a rod and no finials.

Brackets for cylindrical or flat faced (triangular) rod designs

Brackets come in different sizes, dependent on the diameter of the rods. Common sizes are 12mm and 16mm. There is also a different carpet bracket design for triangular rods - those with a flat face. We offer a range in ten different finishes and various sizes and diameters suitable for using with rods for runners and fitted carpets. So, whether you own stair rods and have misplaced the brackets or purchased some vintage carpet rods with no carpet holders, simply choose the relevant design, size and finish. Available in pairs.
