However screws are poor quality having chosen black, they tarnish too easily with black facing coming off some screws

Ordered 25 black vision sphere plain rods for carpet runner. Very good quality, delivery as specified and look fabulous when fitted. I wasn’t going to fit them on the bottom of the 1st step, and on the half landings, as they would need adapting to fit. However, they look so good we have worked out a way to fit them on these areas, which are quite awkward on our staircase and have made an additional order for 4 more rods. Can’t recommend highly enough and this site is cheaper than other sites for exactly the same product.
