For Northern Ireland, Highlands, certain Scottish postcodes and off-shore islands a fixed delivery charge of £15.00 incl VAT applies. For the Isle of Wight and Channel Islands a fixed charge of £20.00 incl VAT applies. Regrettably, we are unable to deliver to Republic of Ireland

The door threshold bars – Premier Single 9 are an elegant and secure way to join a carpet to a thinner floorcovering, such as vinyl, LVT, Amtico or bare floorboards.
This design of door bar features a smooth, curved edge which slopes down from the carpet pile to the vinyl or floor boards.
The two base floors should be level with each other as the Single 9 needs to lie flat (see diagram). However, if yours are slightly different, stack the MDF strips (also known as Easywedges and included free of charge) underneath the Single 9 and raise/tilt the base.
The carpet is gripped under tension by the teeth, whilst on the other side the floorcovering lies under the curved edge. This means no raw edges or rucked up carpet.
The Single 9 is suitable for most qualities of carpet which compress to around 9mm thick. The underlay is cut short of the door bar. If your carpet is thinner please see the Single 4 or if thicker try the Premier Single 13

Fitting tips for door threshold bars – Premier Single 9
Cut to length with a sharp hack-saw.
Stick, using a propriety adhesive, nail or screw (avoiding any underfloor heating).
The underlay stops short of the door threshold.
Thick carpets can be compressed onto the pins before napping down (see above).
Once fitted, Premier Door Bars Single 9 can be ‘napped down’ with a carpeted wood block, which will give the carpet an extra firm grip on the pins and can reduce the height by 3mm.

Looking after & cleaning door thresholds
This product is made of solid brass and hand-finished and therefore the finish may vary slightly from batch to batch. To achieve an authentic look and withstand daily use, they are unlacquered and therefore may age naturally over time, depending on their environment. These Premier Single 9 door thresholds are top quality, made from really good materials and are superior to any products you can buy in carpet/diy shops. They are considerably more expensive but quality comes at a price. Would most certainly recommend these door thresholds.

The high quality range of Premier door thresholds are mostly made from solid brass and offered in a choice of 10 different finishes. These options are achieved using a variety of manufacturing processes, including powder coating, plating, polishing and chemical antiquing and are hand-finished. Therefore, any given finish may vary slightly from batch to batch and compared to any given sample.
